André Lima, a legend in the world of futsal, brings his unmatched experience and passion to the Pro-Football Academy. With a career spanning decades as a player and coach, André has consistently proven his dedication to the sport, achieving milestones that place him among the elite in futsal history.

A Player Who Redefined Excellence

Born in Porto, André began his journey in football with Gondomar S.C., transitioning to futsal at 24, where he flourished. His playing career is a testament to his skill, determination, and tactical brilliance.

Playing Career Highlights:

• Miramar: Won the Liga Portuguesa (1996–97, 1999–2000) and Taça de Portugal (1997–98).

• Caja Segovia (Spain): Secured the División de Honor (1998–99), Copa de España (1998–99), and Supercopa de España (1998).

• Benfica: A standout player, leading the team to four Liga Portuguesa titles, three Taça de Portugal victories, and three Supertaça de Portugal wins. Named Best Player in 2004–05 and twice the league’s top scorer.

• Portugal National Team: Represented his country 111 times, scoring 107 goals, and solidifying his reputation as one of the best wingers in futsal.

A Visionary Coach with Global Impact

André’s transition to coaching was as remarkable as his playing career. Starting as head coach for Benfica, he led the team to immediate success, including their historic win in the 2009–10 UEFA Futsal Cup, the first European title in the club’s history.

Coaching Career Achievements:

• Benfica (2008–2010): Won the Liga Portuguesa, Taça de Portugal, Supertaça de Portugal, and the UEFA Futsal Cup.

• China National Team & Guangzhou Lixun: Played a pivotal role in developing futsal in China, opening youth academies and building competitive teams.

• Pro-Football Academy (Since 2020): As a futsal coach, André has been instrumental in nurturing young talent, focusing on technical skill, tactical awareness, and a champion's mindset.
